GENERAL INFORMATION

RECIPE
INGREDIENTS FOR 120g OF ORANGE PEEL LEATHER

• 20g wool fiber
• 5L water
• 120g orange peel
• Some Calcium Chloride
• 125g sodium alginate
• 421g glycerin
• 56g coconut oil

 

TOOLS

• Strainer
• Scale
• Spatula
• Shredder
• Scissors
• Frame
• Cooking pot
• Funnel

 

METHOD

• Dehydrate the Orange Peel in an oven, dehydrator or just in the air
• Crush the orange peel into small pieces
• Sieve the pieces to get only the smallest pieces
• Mix the alginate, glycerin, coconut oil and the orange pieces in the water
• Store in a cool place for 24 hours to let it become a paste
• add the wool fibers to the paste
• Pour the mix into a frame
• Put calcium cloride on both sides
• Let it dry for a few days
• Remove from the frame gently
